Description

The Acoustic Revive R-AU1 is a USB cable with a utility-model structure that completely separates the signal line and the power line. Choose R-AU1-PL (standard, one Type-A plug) or R-AU1-SP (two Type-A plugs, one for signal and one for power).

Separated Signal and Power Lines

A normal USB cable carries the digital signal and the bus power in one cable, and their magnetic and electric fields interfere with each other. The R-AU1 uses a dedicated 2-core shielded cable for each of the signal and power lines, so mutual interference does not occur.

Conductor, Insulation and Buffer

The conductor is PC-Triple C. The insulation is fluororesin, with a dielectric constant of 2.1 (versus 5.6 for PVC and 2.3–2.4 for PE). Natural silk is used as the buffer for vibration damping and anti-static effect; silk charges positively, cancelling static with the negatively charging resin insulation.

Copper Shield

A copper shield is used for its excellent shielding in the audio band, without the sonic character of aluminum or other light-metal shields.
