Description

The FOSTEX T50RPmk4 is a semi-open, wired over-ear headphone with a 4th-generation RP planar driver. It was released in May 2024.

Driver

According to Fostex, the 4th-generation RP driver has larger magnets, a redesigned printed coil pattern and an updated magnetic circuit, intended to improve sensitivity, frequency response and transient response.

Housing and Fit

Both housings have a connector and an identical shape, which Fostex says reduces left/right sound differences. The ear pads are low-rebound, around-ear pads designed for comfort during long listening sessions.

Cable

The included 2 m cable uses high-quality OFC conductors. The 4-pole 3.5 mm connector supports balanced wiring, and balanced cables are available separately.
