Description

The KOJO Crystal E is a virtual earth (ground terminal) for audio systems, released as the successor to the Force bar EP. It follows KOJO's idea of "a nearby earth rather than a distant earth" and connects to the earth (GND) terminal of your audio equipment with the supplied cables.

Dissimilar-Metal Laminated Structure

Inside, eight metal plates (stainless steel / brass / copper / brass / copper / brass / copper / brass) are stacked like a heatsink, with a 0.5mm gap so the plates do not touch face to face. The surface area of the laminated section is 1.75 times that of the Force bar EP.

Chassis

The chassis is made of 2mm aluminum and 2mm steel.

Terminals and Connection

Two earth terminals with stainless steel (SUS) M4 binding screws: one connects to an audio component, and the other is used to add another Crystal E in series (tandem connection). KOJO advises against connecting two audio components to one Crystal E, as this creates multiple grounding.

Earth Cables

Two dedicated 1.2m earth cables are supplied: RCA plug to Y-terminal, and Y-terminal to Y-terminal. They use coaxial wire, which KOJO chose for its good high-frequency characteristics, with gold-plated terminals.

The Set of 2 packages two Crystal E units in one box, for tandem connection or for use with each of the left and right speakers.
