Description

The MI CAFETO COFFEE HUNTERS Hot Coffee Gift Set is a premium gift box featuring four carefully selected coffees from the COFFEE HUNTERS series.

COFFEE HUNTERS is a series that introduces rare coffees from farms and regions known for unique varieties, cultivation methods, and processing approaches. This set brings together four coffees recommended for hot coffee, offering a wide range of aromas and flavors, from clean sweetness and citrus brightness to cacao-like richness and juicy fruit notes.

The set includes four 160g bottles: Doi Tung from Thailand, Alto Luna from Panama, San Miguel Antigua from Guatemala, and Inza Tierradentro from Colombia. Each coffee has a distinctive origin story and flavor profile, making this set ideal for gifts, tasting comparisons, or enjoying specialty coffee at home.

Roasted and bottled in Japan

Advanced Packaging Technology

After roasting, coffee beans naturally release carbon dioxide gas. In typical coffee packaging, this gas is released from the package. However, when the gas escapes, precious aroma compounds can escape with it as well.

MI CAFETO developed a unique pressurized packaging method to help preserve the coffee’s aroma. By placing roasted coffee beans in a champagne-style bottle that can withstand internal pressure, the gas released from the beans creates external pressure inside the bottle, helping seal in the aroma.

For PET bottles, MI CAFETO uses high-barrier PET bottles developed by Mitsubishi Plastics, now Mitsubishi Chemical. The inside of the bottle is coated with a DLC, or Diamond-Like Carbon, film, which helps reduce oxygen transmission by approximately 10 times compared with ordinary PET bottles. As a result, the coffee aroma can be preserved about 1.5 times longer than usual.
