Description

The OYAIDE OCB-1 DXs II is the latest version of the OCB-1 (Oyaide Concent Box No.1), Oyaide's long-running Japanese-made audio power strip, ideal for desktop to mid-size audio systems.

Cable

The attached L/i50 OFC II cable uses Japanese C1011 OFC (Class 1 OFC) conductors in Oyaide's 4-core star-quad structure, in which diagonally opposite conductors are twisted together to cancel radiated noise. Insulation and sheath are flame-retardant polyolefin, with a clear PVC coating that blocks external noise and protects against damage. An earth wire is added for 3-pin audio equipment, and the colored outer sleeve adds damping.

Plug and Outlets

The plug is Oyaide's standard P-029, modified to a 2-pin type for household use. The outlets are Oyaide's Japanese-made SWO-DX/ULTIMO in a dedicated yellow color, with phosphor bronze contacts plated with silver + rhodium. Internal wiring uses Oyaide's precision 102 SSC conductor (2.5sq).

PBT-GF30 Outlet Box

The box is made of PBT engineering plastic with 30% glass fiber, which has more than twice the tensile and impact strength of unfilled PBT and high dimensional stability. It has a monocoque structure, 4mm thick walls (over 1.4 times a typical 2.8mm PVC box), carbon added for EMI consideration, and 13mm feet to minimize contact with the floor and suppress resonance. Optional OSP-SC / OSP-SS spikes, the OCB-BS granite base or the INS-BS insulator base (all sold separately) can be screwed to the M4 holes at the bottom.
