Description

The OYAIDE OCB-1 EXs II is the high-end model of the OCB-1 (Oyaide Concent Box No.1) audio power strip series, released with the 2020 specification.

Cable

The attached L/i50 OFC II cable has a 4-core star-quad structure in which diagonally opposite conductors are twisted together to cancel radiated noise. The conductor is Japanese C1011 OFC (175 strands of 0.12mm), at 2.0sq × 4 cores, with an earth wire (0.75sq) added for 3-pin audio equipment. Insulation and sheath are flame-retardant polyolefin with a clear PVC outer coating that blocks external noise and protects against damage.

Plug and Outlets

The plug is OYAIDE's AP-037 from the ARMORED series, in a dedicated color, with phosphor bronze blades with thick silver-rhodium plating and a mechanical earth structure. The outlets are OYAIDE SWO-DX/ULTIMO in blue, made of phosphor bronze with silver-rhodium plating. Inter-outlet wiring uses 4N Japanese pure silver single wire, 2.0mm, with skin-pass finish, and the earth wire uses OYAIDE's precision 102 SSC conductor.

PBT-GF30 Outlet Box

The box is PBT resin with 30% glass fiber, with 4mm thick walls, carbon added for EMI consideration, four mounting posts and 13mm feet. OYAIDE says this reduces resonance and noise. Optional OSP-SC / OSP-SS spikes, the OCB-BS granite base or the INS-BS insulator base (all sold separately) can be attached to the M4 holes at the bottom.
