Description

The OYAIDE SCI-04 is a USB4-compatible Type-C to Type-C cable from NEO, OYAIDE's brand for studios and professional digital recording. It is backward compatible with USB 2.0 to 3.2 and supports Thunderbolt 3.

Conductor

Silver-plated, thick-wall, high-purity oxygen-free copper conductors (signal AWG28 / power AWG21) are used to reduce skin effect at high data rates. The power line is reinforced for bus-powered devices.

Shield and Sheath

Triple shielding of tinned copper braid, aluminum mylar and copper mylar tape. According to OYAIDE, conducted noise is about 25% lower than with a standard twisted-pair USB4 cable. The sheath is a dedicated matte black TPE.

Connectors

The Type-C contacts are gold-plated Corson alloy. The housing is aluminum, engraved with the NEO logo and anodized in gold, with 360-degree shielding at the cable junction.

Performance

Up to 40 Gbps (0.7m) or 20 Gbps (1.2m, 1.8m, 2.5m), DisplayPort Alt Mode, and USB Power Delivery up to 60W. Tested for insertion, bending and load durability, TDR impedance, and temperature, humidity and UV exposure.
