Description
The Oyaide TUNAMI TERZO XX V2 is Oyaide’s flagship XLR interconnect cable, combining the high-performance TUNAMI TERZO V2 cable with Oyaide’s original FOCUS 1 XLR plugs.
At the heart of the cable is Oyaide’s precision 102 SSC conductor. With an unusually large 1.25sq conductor size for an interconnect cable, the TUNAMI TERZO XX V2 is designed to reduce signal loss and deliver a powerful, clear, and highly detailed sound.
The conductor uses Oyaide’s patented 3E twist structure, which combines strands of three different diameters in a dense and highly precise arrangement. This structure minimizes gaps between strands, maintains a near-perfect round conductor shape, and helps stabilize the cable’s electrical characteristics.
For insulation, the cable uses high-performance polyolefin, which has excellent electrical properties and a lower dielectric constant than typical PVC insulation. This helps reduce signal loss and supports clean, natural sound reproduction.
The cable also features Oyaide’s traditional three-layer shielding structure: an electromagnetic wave absorbing layer, copper foil tape, and a 102 SSC spiral shield. This multi-layer design helps block external noise, internal noise, and vibration-related interference.
The outer sheath is made of durable UV-cut polyurethane with an elegant pearl white finish.
Each cable is fitted with Oyaide’s original FOCUS 1 XLR plugs. The FOCUS 1 features a push-pull locking mechanism, precision-machined phosphor bronze contacts, and silver/rhodium plating for reliable connection and excellent conductivity.
The plugs are soldered using Oyaide’s SS-47 audio-grade solder. SS-47 is a lead-free, RoHS-compliant silver solder made with high-purity 4N tin, silver, and copper. Its metal composition is 93.6% tin, 4.7% silver, and 1.7% copper, with a melting point of 217°C. This formulation is designed for excellent conductivity, reliable bonding, and sound quality.
102 SSC: Special Surface Copper, Oyaide’s precision copper conductor. It is made from virgin copper refined in Japan, with no recycled copper used. The conductor surface is specially smoothed using natural diamond dies, allowing extremely precise wire drawing with a diameter tolerance of approximately ±1μm. This high-precision process helps improve conductor consistency and supports stable signal transmission. Unlike OCC (Ohno Continuous Casting) copper, which is mainly known for its long-crystal or single-crystal casting process, 102 SSC focuses on copper purity, surface smoothness, and high-precision wire processing. Both are premium copper materials used in audiophile cables, but their manufacturing concepts are different.
